Sophomore art show wraps May 1

Graduation season can be a stressful time, particularly for students in majors that have presentation requirements, but Jones’s Art Department has produced some fantastic graduating students once again.

This year, the sophomore art show will display select works of Jones’s graduating artists: Gracie Allgood, Sarah Wilkinson, Juliet Tisdale and Kennedy Watts.

Allgood plans on attending William Carey after graduation to seek out a degree in Art Education.

Tisdale will attend the University of Southern Mississippi for her bachelor’s in art history following a gap year. Afterwards, she hopes to seek out internships and a master’s degree in art conservation at an overseas university.

Like Allgood, Watts will also be attending William Carey following graduation for a degree in Art Education.

Wilkinson will attend the University of Southern Mississippi, seeking a degree in Graphic Design.

Students and faculty are encouraged by the Art Department to come view the show. The work of the graduating artist class of 2026 will be on display in the Eula Bass Lewis Art Gallery between April 7 to May 1.
